Bengkulu is one of the province in Sumatera island, Indonesia archipelago.  Bengkulu province is located on the southwest coast of Sumatra. It occupies of 19,831 sq. km area and has about one million populations, comprising mostly Rejang, Malay, Bugis and Chinese ethnic ancestry people.

A province which recently is often knocked over by earthquake, but at the opposite of natural disaster, Bengkulu have a lot of interesting tourism object to be visited. Alongside west side of Bengkulu are very beautiful coast, start from most north that is Muko-Muko, North of Bengkulu, Town of Bengkulu till South of Bengkulu represent seaboard. Bukit Barisan mountain range constitutes its northeastern border, beyond which laid of South Sumatra province and Jambi province. The province protected by a stretch of mountains, which soon flow into the mighty Bukit Barisan. Tigers and elephants wander through the remains of the original rainforest, where exotic rafflesia's and orchids grow.

Geographically, Bengkulu is located between 2^o and 5^o South Latitude and between 101^o and 104^o  Eastern Longitude. This Province is bordered by:

West Side: Indian Ocean

East Side: Jambi Province

South Side: Lampung Province and Indian Ocean

North Side: West Sumatra Province

Bengkulu consist of 8 Sub-Province and 1 town, that is Sub-Province of Muko-Muko, Sub-Province North of Bengkulu, Town of Bengkulu, Sub-Province of Seluma, Sub-Province of Kaur, Sub-Province South of Bengkulu, Sub-Province of Rejang Lebong, Sub-Province of Kepahiang and Sub-Province of Lebong.

Most coast exist in Bengkulu still natural and not yet been managed professionally. Beside alongside coast,  Bengkulu have natural object of tourisme in the form of waterfall that is in Kemumu in North Bengkulu and in Curup Sub-Province of Rejang Lebong. Culture of Bengkulu also represent famous tourism object  for example:  Festival of Tabot, Music of Dol and of traditional dances.  Festival of Tabot is usually executed on 1 - 10 Muharram (Islam of New Year).

To visit Bengkulu, you can go by air journey and also land. The journey from Jakarta gone through by during 50 minute with plane or if you using Bus need time about 15-18 hours.
